Our chiropractors assess and treat a range of muscle and joint problems, including back pain, neck pain, headaches arising from the neck, sciatica, joint pain and some sports-related injuries. At your first consultation, we’ll assess your symptoms to determine whether chiropractic treatment is appropriate for you.

Your first appointment includes a consultation to discuss your symptoms and medical history, followed by a physical examination which may include neurological, orthopaedic and postural assessments. If clinically required, X-rays may also be taken. We’ll explain our findings, diagnosis and recommended treatment options to you before proceeding with treatment.

No. You can book directly with us without a referral from your GP. If you’re experiencing back pain, neck pain, sciatica or another musculoskeletal problem, you can simply contact the clinic or book an appointment online.

Yes. We have digital X-ray facilities on site at our Leigh-on-Sea clinic, allowing us to take and review high-quality images when X-rays are clinically indicated. Not every patient requires an X-ray, and your chiropractor will determine whether one is appropriate following your assessment.

Chiropractic treatment is generally well tolerated. Some techniques can produce temporary soreness or stiffness afterwards, particularly when you first begin treatment. Your chiropractor will explain the techniques being recommended and can adapt treatment according to your condition, comfort and preferences.

There is no set number of treatments because every patient and condition is different. The recommended frequency and duration of treatment will depend on factors such as your symptoms, examination findings, how long you’ve had the problem and how you respond to care. We’ll discuss the recommended treatment plan with you following your assessment.

We regularly assess patients experiencing symptoms commonly described as sciatica, including pain that travels from the lower back or buttock into the leg. Because leg pain can have several different causes, we’ll first assess you to establish the likely source of your symptoms and whether chiropractic treatment is appropriate.
